An intellectual property lawyer with a focus on software and information technology, Terry has more than 25 years’ experience practicing litigation and licensing. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, all levels of the Federal Court of Canada and the Courts of Ontario, and numerous administrative tribunals. He recently served as co-lead counsel in a major class-action lawsuit dealing with pharmaceutical product liability.

Terry was called to the Bar of Ontario and registered as a trademark agent in 1978. He is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property issues to the Business Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, and to students of the Ontario Bar Admission Course and the Queen’s University M.B.A. for Science and Technology program.

Terry is actively involved with community clubs and charities, including the ROTEL on the Children’s Hospital campus, the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa-Carleton, and the Champions for Children Foundation.
