Neil practices in the areas of business law and intellectual property strategy. He draws upon broad experience in all facets of business and intellectual property law, including M&A, corporate finance, dispute resolution and licensing, to assist clients leverage their intellectual assets to create shareholder value.
Neil began his legal career as a law clerk to Mr. Justice Sopinka of the Supreme Court of Canada, and then practiced in the areas of constitutional, aboriginal, and human rights law for several years prior to concentrating on business and intellectual property law. In conjunction with his practice, Neil is an experienced, financially-literate business person and investor, actively involved as a shareholder and director of several public and private knowledge-based businesses.
